On December 3, 2025, Pan Feng, Vice Chairman of CEATEC and President of the ECECDC, held a working meeting in Rome with Simona Marzetti, Director of the International and EU Affairs Department at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and other representatives. Against the backdrop of the official implementation of the EU's non-agricultural geographical indication protection regulations under the China-EU Agreement on Geographical Indications, the two sides had in-depth discussions on the protection and promotion of Italy's non-agricultural geographical indication products, particularly in the fields of industrial products, traditional handicrafts, and other Italian-made products. They also agreed to strengthen the showcase of Italy's non-agricultural geographical indication products during the China-Europe Geographical Indications Agreement Forum and related activities to be held in Shunyi District, Beijing in 2026. Both sides expressed their willingness to further enhance communication and cooperation, jointly promoting pragmatic collaboration in the fields of geographical indications and manufacturing between China and Italy.
